Recyclable Polypropylene Sachets
Polypropylene (PP) is a recyclable material for sachets that makes the perfect solution to single use! These sachets can simply be recycled with plastic bags at local supermarkets running the recycling scheme.
Aside from the recyclability, nothing else changes with these sachets! Even the print technology remains the same, so there is no compromise on the quality of print. Lighter and thinner than other ‘standard’ materials, PP also offers savings in emissions – a major plus point when considering your Carbon Footprint!
This PP material is new to market and we advise all liquids are compatibility tested (12 weeks) to ensure suitability, but don’t worry, we can handle this for you!

PET/ALU/PE Sachets
Eco-friendly doesn’t just mean recyclable, it can mean using less materials. Not only should we consider recyclability, but our carbon footprints too!
Fillcon Fact: A sachet or pouch could use approximately 70% less plastic than a plastic bottle.
These sachet types are the laminate of choice, used for anything from facial oils to muscle rub balm to personal lubricant. Though considered to be non-recyclable, ‘technically’ this laminate can be recycled and is being recycled by companies such as Terracycle! These laminates can now be taken to your local supermarket store where the different flexible materials will be separated and sent for recycling.
Sachets have a much smaller carbon footprint than bottles and tubes because they are lightweight and maximise space in transport. Whereas shipping empty bottles and tubes is effectively shipping air, sachets are an eco-friendly alternative!

Anti-Microbial Varnish for Sachets
Fillcon offer an anti-microbial varnish for our PP or PET/ALU/PE sachets that doesn’t compromise the eco-credentials of our packaging. The varnish, available in either a gloss or matte finish, is applied to the outer laminate and provides comprehensive surface protection against bacteria, fungi and moulds using the latest anti-microbial technology.
